I I agree with you. After all, there has to be some reason why Mr. Peanut can't return to Peanutland. I like to think he killed a man. It's the romantic in me.
You've got something there. Maybe the whole dandy persona is a disguise in case bounty hunters from Peanutland come looking for him.
